SNEAK PEEK IN TO THE FUTURE ! [♥]

-In the future i believe little devices that make a HUGE impact to our lives like phones, will evolve into something to cool and awesome that words can't even explain.
-In the future cars will fly, it will travel slower because the last thing we need now is more people releasing more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
-Planes will have more seats so more people can go from here or there without waiting. And more seats means less times from going here to there and there to here.
-I believe robots in the future will be very important to our future lives because robots are everywhere now. I see them on TV. But i'm afraid the robot community will go against the humans, and the robots will control the world.
-I don't want a lot of people to die, so i want a small house hold device that tells the hospital or police to come to our house, and save us. Instead of calling 911.

EVALUATION ♥

EVALUATION

In this unit I needed to create and manage a theme park successfully using a game the game “Rollercoaster Tycoon”. There were three main objectives to expand my computer skills. The first learning objective was to create a poster to promote and advertise the theme park. Next, was to create a brochure to guide the customers in my park. The last objective this quarter was to make a spreadsheet model to see if my theme park made a profit or loss. Each project was different and exciting in its own way. I have enjoyed every project, but I liked some more than others. I like the fact the each assignment was a challenge. When I finished an assignment, I looked back on what I did and what I could do better to improve my grade. I think I have accomplished a lot this quarter, knowing more than I did before. I know that someday I will use these skills again, and also teaching it to my children in the future.

The poster was the first assignment of the quarter. The main goal was to attract kids and young adults. To do that I needed to create a poster that included color, visual words, childish writing for kids, and how could I forget the attractiveness. When Mr. Michael first handed out the assignment it sounded quite easy, but when I started it was hard. My first draft was horrible; I ended up having a paragraph long comment from Mr. Michael about how wrong my poster was. I had to redo my poster; the first step was to create a simple but recognizable logo. Then I choose a reasonable background picture to go with the theme of roller coasters. I had to find my focal point, a place where the eye is attracted to. I put easy words in big font and the information in smaller font. I believe it took me a long time to do it, but it was worth the grade. I think I did quite well at this assignment.

The leaflet was the next assignment; I also think it was my best. It was a really thought out plan. I loved the color scheme because works throughout my leaflet. My design was full of creativity. I love every bit of it. My goal was to create a brochure that would explain some parts of my park, and guide the visitors. I had colorful images to attract little kids, and I also included informative words for adults. I learnt how to use Microsoft Publisher. I put so much effort and time in to this masterpiece. My first draft wasn’t so good, but then I had a second chance to do it again. My friends helped me fix it, and told me that “I should take more time to do it, and not rush. Rushing make it looks bad”. I hope my future projects will be just like this one. I sincerely think that my leaflet is one percent away from perfect.  I was so happy to be able to finish and able to call it mine. I also learnt the skill to embed a Microsoft Publisher document into my blog.

Lastly my spreadsheet model was my least favorite of all. I regret not putting enough effort and time into it. I know all of my formulas worked perfectly but my design and creativity lacked a bit. I wished I could organize my time wisely. My goal for this model was to create a system of formulas and links for someone to figure out if there theme park was profit or loss. It means that if your theme was successful or not. The audience was for business people, mainly adults. This was a very simple design I just add color, simply pictures, and a title for each worksheet. I wasn’t difficult to do but it was hard remembering the formulas. It wasn’t my best work but I think I learnt the most skills. I learnt to use voice thread, it’s an easy way to present something. I know I could have done better, next time I will give it all I got.

Overall this unit was pretty fun; I had a blast doing the assignment. It was long and hard, but having a good grade was worth it. It usually takes me a long time to finish ICT homework, not because it’s hard but I just need to think a lot. For example does this color work with this color. I like to learn more in quarter four. I hope in the future each assignment; I will work hard on it and create masterpieces. I know these handy skills will help me in the future.
